Nic started out with Trackspeed1-UK in 2014 with a lengthy history of injury that had stunted his progress over the hurdles events. With caution in mind, he and his coach elected to reman with the less risky flat 400m event, but it was only late in the 2015 season that he was able to begin to show glimmers of the talent he undoubtedly possessed. Taking his PB below 50 second s for the first time, both were convinced that alot more was to come. Despite a brief foray north to study at Leeds University during much of winter, Nic has now returned to the group, and put a positive warm weather training trip in the USA to good use. A PB of 47.4 in May was a massive breakthrough, and both coach and athlete know there is alot more to come. Selected for England at the Loughborough international in May, he was dealt a cruel blow as he tumbled down stairs at home and badly twisted an ankle, taking him out of competition for a month. Watch the blog on this website though, for the breakthrough that must surely come in the next 12 months!
