Dwayne Grant
Senior Men 100/200m International level
The most experienced athlete in the squad, Dwayne was coached by John throughout teenage since discovery at the age of 9 to 22. During that time he gained British Junior International status, and won gold at the World Junior Championships in Santiago in 2000 in the 4x100m relay. He went on to win gold in the same event in the World Cup in 2006, having featured in the British squad at the Athens Olympics in 2004. Frustrated more recently by injury, he has returned to Trackspeed1, and has enjoyed positive preparations for 2010.
Described by coach John Powell as a terrific talent with massive experience which, if injury is staved off, could yet see him impact at the very top end of British sprinting.
